Carcross Visitor Information Centre
Completed in 2013, the Carcross Visitor Information Centre was NVD’s first development outside of Whitehorse.
Built as part of the Carcross Commons project, the VIC caters to thousands of tourists travelling from Skagway, Alaska each summer. This 50/50 joint venture between NVD and the Carcross Tagish First Nation was managed by the Carcross Tagish Management Corporation and is now operated by the Yukon Territorial Government. The project stands as a successful model of partnership-driven development in a rural northern setting.
