Welcome to Carmacks

Located along the Klondike Highway on the Yukon River, Carmacks is named after George Carmack, one of the co-discoverers of gold that sparked the Klondike Gold Rush. Today, the community is home to the Little Salmon/Carmacks First Nation and serves as a key stop between Whitehorse and Dawson City. With its stunning river views, historic sites, and nearby hiking trails, Carmacks highlights both Yukon's history and its natural beauty.
